Meridian, Idaho. A City of Perfect Balance.

What was once a small farmers village in the great open west has blossomed into one of America’s best little cities. Meridian, Idaho was founded on traditions of hard work, community support, and family values. While the village has grown to hamlet, town, and now city; the heart of Meridian remains very much the same. These community values are what have drawn so many people from every corner of the world and made Meridian Idaho’s third largest city.

Meridian has been able to manage its growth while honoring its history and setting its residents up for a bright future. During the great depression it was the resilience and community spirit that led to the creation of a cooperative creamery that was able to thrive and be profitable while the rest of the nation suffered the perils of a long drought and the great economic depression of the 1930’s. You can still visit remnants of the creamery at the Heritage Pavilion in Meridian’s Town Square. Today, the Village at Meridian gives residents access to the most cosmopolitan shops, VIP entertainment, and ice cream available. While honoring the past, Meridian has continued to grow and has all of the attractions one could want.

Another tradition that Meridian has kept up with since its founding is the focus on family and community. Recently ranked one of the top ten places to live in America, Meridian has earned that title by focusing on providing the best schooling possible with a focus on children’s safety and academic success. The growth in recent years means that Meridian has a majority of new schools with the latest technology and design to not only help your children learn but also to help them thrive and set them up for the demands of the future.

Community is a strong part of why people are coming to Meridian and why others have stayed here for so long. Every year neighbors gather to help those around that need a bit of assistance with community initiatives like Paint the Town and Rake Up Meridian. Simple gestures like these community projects let others know that they are cared for, and that is what has helped Meridian prosper throughout the years.

Meridian is a rare city that fosters a good balance, and that is what most families are looking for in America now; a balanced life with strong community. We have great industries and continual job growth in all sectors, while also still holding on to our agricultural roots with working farms still in operation. There is amazing access to culture and entertainment while also being close to parks, hiking trails, fishing holes, and hunting grounds. Excellent education that prepares our children for the demands of the future while also having opportunities for hands on job ready skill development. A place where you can feel free to be yourself and find an accepting and welcoming community.

Meridian provides a full balance in all of the things that are important to having a rich and enjoyed life. Still embracing the values that it was founded on while building for an ever better future; Meridian, Idaho is simply one of the best places to live.
