Where the Best Beer in Boise Is

Spring Into Action: Where to Find The Best Beer in Boise

Steer here for good beer!

Steer here for good beer!

Boise, Idaho is the best place for people who are seeking a delicious and distinctive taste in beer.  There is nothing better than taking a bike ride along our beautiful green belt to one of the many local breweries and spending the afternoon sampling beers.  With spring finally peaking out of the gray sky I have been dreaming about afternoons spent with friends, laughs, and amazing beer.  Here are a few of my favorite places to go.  Cheers!

Payette Brewing Company

The Payette Brewing Company was created by Mike Francis in 2010.  Just last year they opened a new tasting room along the Boise River downtown.  This comfortable and inviting area is open to all ages with many non-alcoholic options.  They currently do not sell food but they are near many great downtown food trucks.  Enjoy!

Boise Brewing

Boise Brewing opened its doors in 2014 with a unique plan.  They wanted their beer to be fresh and local just like our produce.  My current favorite is Hip Check IPA.  This IPA is big and bold in both aroma and finish.  You can try this beer and many other delicious options at their Broad Street location.  Definitely save the date for Hoptoberfest in October!

Cloud 9 Brewery

Cloud 9 Brewery is Boise’s first nanobrewery and the only certified organic brewery in the state.  It is not only hard to recommend my favorite at this brewery because they are all so delicious,  but also because with a constantly rotating tap it is a different and great experience everytime!  Check out their 3rd anniversary party this St. Patrick’s day!

Sockeye Grill and Brewery

The Sockeye Grill and Brewery is one of the top breweries in Idaho.  Not only do they have amazing beer but they also have great food!  I love to go for dinner and order the trout.  This trout is from Hagerman, Idaho and is mouthwatering with a pecan pan sauce.  All of their beer options are too good to be true so ordering their seasonal sampler is the only option.  Yum!

Crooked Fence Barrelhouse

Crooked Fence Barrelhouse has an amazing event center in Eagle, Idaho.  I was recently there for a wedding and it was beyond beautiful.  They always have some event going on so if you are looking for something fun to do that involves amazing beer check out their website for more info.  The Rusty Nail Pale Ale is one of my favorite beers of all time!  Cheers!
